A Guest's View of Barbados: Beaches, Bougainvillea and West Coast Sunsets

One of our favourite things is seeing Barbados through the eyes of guests staying at Carizma villa. These photographs were kindly shared with us after a recent stay and capture so much of what we love about this part of the island.

Tropical Barbados

Colour seems to be everywhere in Barbados. Bougainvillea tumbles over walls and gardens, palms frame the blue skies and even an ordinary walk can feel distinctly Caribbean.

Pristine natural beauty: a serene beachscape with turquoise waters and sailboats on the horizon, offering a tranquil escape from the typical resort experience.

Beaches without the resort feel

The west coast is famous for its beaches, but you can still find wonderfully peaceful stretches of sand. Staying near Speightstown means you can choose between livelier beaches and quieter spots where you may have plenty of space to yourself.

That Caribbean Sea

Some days really are this blue. The calm waters along much of the west coast is one of the reasons guest return to this part of Barbados again and again.

A breath taking sunset paints the sky with vibrant hues of orange, red, and pink, casting a warm glow over the tranquil ocean and sandy beach.

And then there are the sunsets...

Being on the west coast means the day often finishes with a spectacular sunset over the Caribbean Sea - one of those simple Barbados pleasures that never gets old.
